Hall-Dale’s first LIVE ROCK SHOW is coming! Two of Maine’s biggest rock bands, Soundbender and Thai, will hit the HD Theater stage on Friday, November 16th at 7 PM.
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, October 16th. Tickets are $9 each, and benefit the 8th Grade field trip to Boston. They’re available in Mr. Kennedy’s room before school, and can be bought during lunch. Make sure you get tickets early, though, since this show WILL sell out, and once tickets are gone, they’re gone.
Family members and friends of the Hall-Dale Community are welcome to purchase tickets through middle school students, attend and enjoy the show.

“Student Led Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday October 23 from 3:00 - 5:00 and 5:30 -
8:00.
These conferences will be more ‘student involved’ than ‘student led’ conferences this fall. Parents
are encouraged to call our main office to make appointments to see individual teachers.
Appointments of 15 minutes each can be made with any or all of the teachers responsible for
each student. Student involvement in this process is critical, so we encourage students to attend
each appointment. Conferences scheduled for this coming spring will be true Student Led
Conferences during which students will present to their parents a portfolio of work that is on-going
or completed earlier in the year. Certainly, teachers will be available to support this process. We
look forward to seeing you.”

September 28, 2007
I am glad to report to you that the great start we experienced during the first several weeks of
school continues! Students are hard at work and their behavior has been nothing short of
outstanding. A major goal of the staff here at HDMS is to continue to find ways through which
we can recognize positive student behavior. We conducted the First Annual Simon Says
Challenge last week as a reward for the positive behavior exhibited by all.
