Fitness Walking Trail at Hall-Dale Elementary (SNOWSHOEING!!!)
This year as part of my Master’s Degree I am working to create a Fitness Walking trail here at the elementary school. This trail will be utilized by the P.E. program (hiking and snow shoeing), class rooms, teachers, and the entire community. I have already received in kind donations for trail cutting and mapping. The Hall-Dale PTO has committed to donating $1000 for trail surfacing and a trail head sign. Please visit this blog often to stay posted on trail and P.E. information. This winter Third and Fourth grade classes have been utilizing the trail during P.E. classes. We have been out several times with snowshoes and have been learning about aerobic exercise (exercise with oxygen). Classes have also been discussing the importance of layering their clothing during winter exercise to prevent overheating or getting chilled. If you have snowshoes and are looking for a quick convenient place to go, come to Hall-Dale E.S. and follow the snowshoe tracks!
