Principle Advisory committee meeting minutes

Present: Dory Estrada, Andy Estrada, Micheal Reinhart, Hilary Bacheldor, Natasha Langsdorf
-Discussion about a meeting time fore regular PAC meetings was held. The following dates are:
Monday, March 3
Tuesday, March 11
M. March 17
T. March 25
M. March 31
T. April 8
M. April 14
T. April 29
M. May 5
T. May 13
M. May 19
T. May 27
etc. Always first white day of week
-Mr. McDougall sent letters to public school and universities over vacation that said HD was going to move to standards based grading. Gave a sample of report card. Asked it it would give information needed for applying student. Also asked if accompanying transcript would put and HD student at a disadvantage. Heard back from two people, who said would not be disadvantaged as long as we had something that explains the system, because they translate it.
-He also planned a workshop with the school board on Monday, March 3. 4:30 in library, HDLT will also be attending. information sent to colleges will be given to them, wants to review sample report card that has an average of grades.
-Searsport HS was also invited and will speak about their standards system a their school. After this meeting, meetings will be held with individual classes, then parents though end of march. all documents are on edline.
-We will begin to work on the bulletin board in the front hallway next committee meeting.
